The Package DealAchee and Ma juah's april 2009 updateMa Juah and Achee share a bond in their tragic histories, and it continues to grow stronger each day. The two gal pals will never be released into the wild, but they have recovered beautifully from malnourishment and poor health as cubs. They currently live on the Shamwari Wildlife Reserve with their friend Sinbad.

Best Friends Forever
Ma Juah and Achee are best friends in the truest sense of the term. The pair is rarely seen apart and each one is endlessly interested in what the other is doing. They are well behaved at feeding time, but Achee –who is three years younger than Ma Juah—must be given her portion first or she will have a tantrum.

Girl Talk
We have mentioned the girls’ neighbor, Sinbad, who has become quite the loud mouth. Ma Juah and Achee hear him roar from beyond the fence that separates them. Ma Juah roars back to Sinbad, but Achee can only produce a little squeak. Perhaps Ma Juah can teach her to roar in exchange for first dibs on a meal!
