A New Life After a “Roque” Start
roque's april 2009 update Roque is still enjoying himself at Born Free’s tiger sanctuary in Bannerghatta, India. His slim physique and shining coat make him one of the most stunning animals in the sanctuary. Since his rescue, Roque has adapted very well to life with his peers.

The Road to Recovery Roque is incredibly lucky that Born Free took action and rescued him from his pet shop captivity. He no longer spends his days crying in confinement; he is back where a tiger belongs! Roque is happy in his new home, using the vast space of the sanctuary to relax and explore.

Calm, Cool and Collected All of our animal adoptees have different personalities, and while Roque is occasionally animated and playful, he tends to keep to himself. This tiger spends much of his time wandering within the depths of the forest. Roque’s laid-back attitude, good looks and sharp stare make him the coolest cat in the sanctuary.
